Not much book for the money.2
This is a book for advanced plasterers which spends an inproportunate space on rare and unlikely jobs. If you want to know the bare essentials and know them well buy another book. Not much book for the money in my opinion.

Excellent for both novices and professionals alike5
I used this book over 15 years ago to teach myself fibrous plastering techniques, as the colleges at the time were not teaching this old and basically forgotten skill... new methods of casting had brought "speed" into plastering...
As all the "Old Boys" were heading for the building site in the sky and taking there skills with them... I saw a need to learn these "New - Old" skills as more and more people were asking me to renovate old cornice work... the gap in the marketplace for proffessional cornice plasterers was massive and through using all the information gleend from this book... I became highly skilled in all plaster restoration projects and was asked by a local college to pass on a few techniques to apprentices... this book is fantastic and used properly will enhance a novices skills along with a follisilsed plasterer like my self 10 out of 10
