It's back - and this time it's even more revealing. In this completely updated and expanded edition, top trader Robbie Burns gives you the lowdown on the strategies you need to make money from the stock market without having to sit at a screen all day. Robbie quit the rat race in 2001, and believes you can do it too. The original Naked Trader flew off the shelves as the glowing reviews from readers mounted up. This new edition contains loads of new stuff: more essential tips, more key facts, more ideas, more insights, more real-life tales and an awful lot more toast. Robbie, aka the Naked Trader, is your expert and highly entertaining guide to the often baffling world of the stock market. In between cups of tea, rounds of toast and the occasional 'cuddle' with Mrs Naked Trader, he describes the straightforward techniques that have enabled him to succeed in the markets, escape the rat race and make a lot of money. This book tells you all you need to know. If you're a complete beginner you can start here or if you're currently trading but want to learn some new ideas - get reading now! Robbie reveals his trading secrets gathered from ten years of money making. From how to find good shares in the first place, ensuring you don't buy a complete stinker, to using spread betting to enhance gains and how to make big returns quickly from smaller companies. There's also his simple 'traffic lights' system, which makes reading company reports a doddle, and real traders reveal their horror stories and winning tips! This time, Robbie reveals his top 10 secret winning strategies - 10 sure-fire ways to ensure only the best shares get bought. Plus, how to get the confidence to hold onto winning shares and get rid of losers, and how to buy and sell at the right time. Packed with practical and easy to follow advice, everything is explained simply with none of the incomprehensible jargon found in so many other books. Whether you just want to make a few quid on the side while you're at work or you want to go on to make money from the markets full-time and quit work like Robbie, this book is all you need to get started - so grab some tea, toast and relax, and just maybe a richer future awaits!

Customer Reviews
A Naked Success.
In my opinion this is an excellent read well worth investing in.
The second edition of the Naked Trader is aimed I believe not only at the novice share dealer but also the relatively new one who may need the basic principles obtained from the first edition of the book reinforced by new ideas and strategies, which, I am pleased to report, are provided in abundance by the author. I believe it may also be aimed at the more experienced dealer who has perhaps lost their way a little, doesn't understand why, and would like to polish up on their skills. Read this book and a light-bulb will switch on in your head - you'll realise how and why you have been going wrong.
It is very refreshing to read a book on this subject that has been written in such an entertaining, easy-to-understand and logical style. So long as you can read and understand English you will understand everything in this book!
It took me all of 2 days to read this 2nd edition; 347 pages of one man sitting me down and providing me with sound, intelligent advice about a topic I had, until then, little knowledge of. I have been sitting beside the same boss at work for 7 years now and have never heard him say an intelligent or sound thing yet - but I digress....
Robbie explains the pitfalls of trading and, compellingly, and almost accidentally, gives an invaluable insight into the psychology of the share dealer. He does this by providing real examples of mistakes he made and how he now avoids them. The beauty of the book is that you can relate to the mistakes without having had previous experience of share dealing. Of course, having read the book, you don't need to make similar mistakes yourself, do you?!
Spread betting is a topic that is a potentially ominous subject for anyone new to share dealing to broach but this book explains it simply and brilliantly. There is also an excellent chapter that deals with the 10 top strategies employed by the author to hunt down the best shares that make good profit.
If, like me, you thought you might be a bit thick to ever get your head round share dealing, I promise you that having read this book your confidence will soar and you will feel more than able to proceed.
Finally, the book appears to take it for granted that you have access to the internet and can find your way round a web site without too much drama. If you don't have such access, I wouldn't bother buying it for yourself but instead buy it for someone who does.
The bare building blocks
This book, whilst relatively informative and easy to read as an entry point into trading stocks and shares should be treated with caution. It is, as has been suggested very fundamentalist, there is little or nothing to do with technical analysis except some very general points. The index is terrible, which doesn't help; also it is very focused on the use of one particular website (of whom the author is a writer for). A person that really wanted to learn for themselves would need to read up a lot more. A basic and easy to understand book but not a lot here. The author also uses it to gain publicity for his other capitalistic ventures, i.e. through his website and offers numerous offers for you to take advantage of. The phrase too good to be true comes to mind here. I therefore think the book is more of a marketing pitch for him rather than a truly informative insight into the world of trading for a new investor.
The Naked Trader
If your new to the world of investing and don't know where to start, this book is a must. There are plenty of books out there that will promise this system or that method will bring untold riches with little effort and in no time at all.
This book does none of that. It sets out in plain down to earth English and with some humour, how to slowly, surely, and with safety in mind increase your wealth by trading shares. It's packed with common sense and I wish I had read this book 20 years ago.
