Note that the student retail product does not contain any software. Each product contains an order form, which you fill out and post to Macromedia together with proof of your eligibility. When your eligibility has been approved, the manufacturer will dispatch the software directly to you. There is no upgrade path from the Web Design Studio to any individual components upon release of new versions. The product is not for commercial use.

It's about time!
Absolutly well worth the investment. I concentrate more on using this than studying for my buiness degree. It's Ace!. The Macromedia products are excellent in every way. Practice hard and reap the rewards. The studio is a serious piece of kit that is not only fun but benefical to an individuals capabilities. Each piece of software is inovative and cheap. So remove the cobwebs from your skyrocket and enjoy the web design studio until the the next one!

Great offer
This bundle is great, and not just for the absolute beginner.

Dreamweaver is easy to use and very powerful, especially when linked up to the other programs. My favourite feature is being able to make web photo albums with as many pictures as you like using about three mouse clicks. It's a lot easier than straight HTML or any other packages I've seen.

Flash is the real star of the set. Within a few hours I'd put interactive animations on the internet and the file sizes are tiny, even including sound. I'd recommend it to anyone at any level for this price.

a technicality
For the price, it can't be faulted tho'. This is top level authoring software we're talking about here so provided you fulfill the criteria, it's gotta be recommended. I use all these packages (Freehand included) on a professional basis day to day.

The earlier comment about Ultradev is a technicality. Dreamweaver is a purer design package, Ultradev just complicates matters with the database driven stuff. It's not a "Newer Package" just Dreamweaver with add-ons.
