Editorial Reviews

Synopsis
This book offers short, stand-alone readings designed to help us cultivate compassion and awareness amid the challenges of daily living. More than a collection of thoughts for the day, "Comfortable with Uncertainty" offers a progressive programme of spiritual study, leading the reader through essential concepts, themes, and practices on the Buddhist path. "Comfortable with Uncertainty" does not assume prior knowledge of Buddhist thought or practice, making it a perfect introduction to Chodron's teaching. It features the most essential and stirring passages from Chodron's previous books, exploring topics such as lovingkindness, meditation, mindfulness, "nowness", letting go, and working with fear and other painful emotions. Through the course of this book, readers will learn practical methods for heightening awareness and overcoming habitual patterns that block compassion.

Therapeutic Mindfulness5
This inspiring gem of a book (and audiobook) has helped me to negotiate the perils of borderline living. This is an easy to read and understand summary of Pema Chodron's writings. Any Tibetan Buddhist concepts are simply and briefly explained. Recommended for anyone who tends to be highly stressed, finds life difficult to cope with, and over-reactive. After reading this you may, like me, want to read her other books.

I am a big fan of the author Pema Chodron and have read several of her books which i rate highly. This is not as good as others but I like at as a book I can dip into in bed before going to sleep. It can also be read and read again! She always has something interesting and profound to say.
