About the Author
Conor Foley is co-founder and Chief Executive of WorldSpreads Group. Prior to establishing WorldSpreads he had 11 years of experience in the financial services sector. Conor has a Masters Degree (M.A.) in Economics from University College, Dublin. He was Chief Dealer with Smurfit Paribas Bank from 1995-1998 (having joined the bank in 1989) with overall responsibility for the risk management of the bank's foreign exchange. He has twice been shortlisted by Ernst & Young for Entrepreneur Of The Year in Ireland.

Alpesh Patel is a trader managing UK and global macro and global equities strategies for his own hedge fund.

His first stock market floatation was in 2006. He is the founder of AlpeshPatelSpreads.com.

Alpesh was Visiting Fellow in Business & Industry, Corpus Christi College, Oxford University (2001/2). He has judged numerous business and investment competitions and won stock-picking competitions on Channel 4, Bloomberg and Financial Times. His stock picks appear in Barclays newsletter to clients as the only non-in-house analyst - a role he also performed for Merrill Lynch HSBC. He is involved with several Oxford Business School Committees.

Alpesh started a weekly column in the Financial Times in 1999 and has had over 200 columns on investing published in the paper as well as being a regular markets commentator on CNBC Asia, CNN, BBC. Alpesh also co-hosted a weekly show for three years on Bloomberg TV cross-examining CEOs of listed companies on their earnings quality - pre-Enron!

Alpesh is the author of 10 investment and business books published by Financial Times and McMillan translated into 6 languages. Alpesh has a degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics from Oxford University and in Law from King's College, London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is a non-practicing barrister. He is also non-executive Chairman of Aranca, a financial research outsourcing provider (founded by a TiE member).
