excellent introduction to Surrey's hiddden countryside
I found this book to be a really good introduction to some of the less obvious parts of Surrey's great countryside. There are useful snippets of info too, like where to take your kids if you have to cut your walk short when it rains. The maps complemented the oS map and were fairly clear. The layout made each walk easy to follow and gave us some background about where we were walking. Good effort

Walking made easy in the Surrey Countryside
Having just moved to the area and wanting to explore further, we chose this book as it went hand in hand with the OS maps.
What we found to be really useful was the indicated timings, where to part and how potentially steep the walks could be. In this way we could find a walk to fit the time available - especially useful in the dark winter months, where there is nothing worse than trying to rush the walk to avoid being in the pitch black!!
