Murder mixed with victorian ditties. Could do better.
this play however good is let down by its music hall style 'roll out the barrell' songs that do not lend themselves well at all. the story is a brilliant adaptation but i believe this play is all in the songs. I would prefer to see sweeney a bit more rocky horror style than a perios drama.
