See with dry eyes in the pool
I've now bought four pairs of these.

The first pair simply wore out over the course of regular swims several times a week over a couple of years - even so they were much more durable than previous similar goggles from Speedo, Win, Paw, et al, which always needed seal and strap repairs within months of purchase. The second pair was nicked in the changing room when my back was turned, the replacement pair came next day mail order from John Lewis, and it was just as good as both the previous pairs, so I bought a spare while they were still available.

What's so good about the Mariner XS?

The seals on these have an outside measurement of 39mm by 62mm.

There are 6 possible bridge spacings from about 15mm to about 35mm.

They are the right size for an adult, big enough not to sink into eye sockets. Why do google manufacturers not say what size they are? Stupid. A simple high by wide measurement would be enough.

The foam seal has a soft, smooth surface which does not irritate sensitive skin, and it keeps the water out of my eyes in spite of the odd shape of my face, and it is securely bonded to the lens. Others might prefer flexy silicone seals, but for me those always leak, instantly.

The bridge-piece across the nose is adjustable for a perfect fit, I usually snip off the excess once it is right.

The strap is very easily adjusted, does not slip out of adjustment, and you are not likely to lose vital bits should it eventually succumb to the chlorine and break. I've not had one break yet, they just lose some elasticity with age.

The original anti-fog surface is good for a several months of regular swimming ( !! don't rub it !! just rinse), but eventually it needs recoating, and I have a precious stock of Speedo Anti-fog Wipes (no longer on sale, aarrgghh) which are effective for a couple of weeks after each treatment.

The smoked lens is neither here nor there, I would have preferred clear since I swim indoors.

I must have used maybe a dozen different types of goggles over the years, but these Mariner XS are by far the best for me.

Goggles
Having previously had a pair of mariner goggles which were supplied in a plastic case, I was disappointed to find that these new goggles only come in a cardboard box. Moreover, the double independant strap system is a nightmare to use. Just cannot understand why Speedo take a good design & product supplied in a useful container and turn it into a useless piece of kit. I wish I had bought a pair of Zoggs!
