Mr and Mrs Twit are extremely nasty, so the Muggle-Wump monkeys and the Roly-Poly bird hatch an ingenious plan to give them just the ghastly surprise they deserve! This edition has a great new Quentin Blake cover as well as a whole new exciting end section about Roald Dahl and his world.

About the Author
Roald Dahl, the best-loved of children's writers, was born in Wales of Norwegian parents. After school in England he went to work for Shell in Africa. He began to write after "a monumental bash on the head", sustained as an RAF pilot in World War II. Roald Dahl died in 1990.
Customer Reviews
Just to add some balance...
This is a very good book. I remember reading it when I was around 12. It may have what could be read as "gross out tactics" in it but they are very inventive ones. Kids may be impressed by burps and farts, but even an adult would be impressed by someone who could fart the national anthem...
Also, if you read some of his adult fiction (only for adults mind. Subject matter and language get very mature) you'll see that he can fart symphonies. Incredibly gross and incredibly imaginative all at once.
The fact that this book involves two of the biggest antiheroes who get their comeuppance at the end, and I remember it 18 years after I read it at least means it at least deserves four stars, but because the other reviewer is so unfair in the one star that they gave it I'm going to be unfair in the other direction!
Class 3M Book Review
Mr Twit was drinking his beer slowly, but he didn't know that Mrs Twit put her glass eye into it. That night Mr Twit put a slimy and soggy frog in Mrs Twit's bed. Mr Twit is really disgusting and ugly because he has lots of tiny bits on his beard. After the tricks Mr Twit put sticky glue all over the big dead tree because Mr Twit loves eating bird pie. It was his favourite dinner.
It was so funny and horrible it nearly made me jump. I like the bit when Mrs Twit put worms in Mr Twit's spaghetti. I like the bit when Mr Twit tied Mrs Twit to some balloons and then he let go of the string then she went up into the sky. I like Mr Twit because he is really funny and horrible which is why he is my favourite character.
It was a good book for everyone because it's very funny for everyone to read, but the book is very old.
the twits
the twits is a great book well all of the roal dahl books are great. But the twits is the best out of all of them it is about mrs twit and mr twits
they all ways fight and play tricks on each other it is a funny book to beacause the look funny and they are dirty and smelly and weird one of the tricks mr twit played on mrs twits she was very worried about it you would laugh but she is really worried abut it.
