About the Author
Dr Doreen Virtue is a spiritual psychotherapist who works with the angelic realm including the fairies. Dr Virtue is the author of over 25 books on MBS issues. She rediscovered her childhood clairvoyancy when she reacted to a life-saving message sent to her from a guardian angel. Her practice then naturally evolved into Angel Therapy in which she combines her skills as a Doctor of Psychology with her spiritual abilities working with the angelic, elemental and ascended master realms.

Enjoyable but not great
I'm a big fan of 'The Lightworker's Way'. I also liked 'Earth Angels', 'Healing with the Angels', 'Angel Medicine' and 'Healing with the Fairies'. I loved the conversational style, practical and (surprisingly sensible) healing advice, and most of all the positive energy and joy that exudes from each page. 'The Lightworkers' Way' was a huge inspiration for me, one of the turning points in the new way I see the world.

'The Miracles..' was a little disappointing. Basically there isn't enough of Doreen in it. Most of it is stories from 'civilians', about their experiences with the Angel. They are interesting enough, and encouraging to those with faith in angelic beings, but to be honest, once you've heard one, you've heard them all. They are all variations on the theme of 'Something bad was happening, then I felt Michael's presence, then the bad thing went away'. I'm not knocking it -it would be amazing if it happened to you - but it's not so amazing as a second-hand account.

That's my opinion anyway. If you think you would find lots of that uplifting or encouraging, then this is the book for you.
I imagine this book would also be great for those who feel they have a special link with Michael. But for someone with a general interest in angels, healing and whatnot (like me), it would probably be a bit repetitive.

I wonder if perhaps Doreen Virtue is running out of things to write about, what with the overlapping nature of alot of her books, her recent work of fiction, and now the heavy use of other people's accounts. Who knows, but she does churn out a helluva lot of books and other products. It seems to me to be a little at odds with her spiritual persona. If I were her I'd take a good five years off writing duty, enough time to develop and marinade some more original ideas. Then perhaps we could have another classic like 'The Lightworkers' Way'. But something tells me it won't be nearly that long before her next book hits the shelves.

Archangel Michael has been the focus of my religious studies lately. A very good book even though in some areas I feel that Doreen includes too many examples and makes the book drag on in some areas.
