hummm....who'd want to teach kids?5
being only an nqt i found this book essential! especially with the class that i've got! this books gives you ideas on how to get their attention and keep it! depending upon your class, you will have to chop and change a few things and figure some stuff out for yourself! all in all though, its superb and i recommend you to read this! Even if you're not a teacher!

Getting Doctors to Think5
I am a Clinical Teacher for Junior Doctors and Medical Students. This book transformed my teaching. Learning goes on in the heads of the learner. The teacher just has to ask the right questions, create legitimate time for thinking, and allow the students to learn to think. Doctors need to be the highest level thinkers in the team - this book helps to be a far better, more relaxed teacher.

you don't have to be a teacher to find this book useful5
As a parent I found this book fascinating and helpful in finding ways to encourage my kids to think. Too many teachers tell them what to think instead of getting them to think for themselves, and this book is packed with information and practical advice. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
