2.Dielectric core construction prevents high frequency audio signals being distorted and guarantees long-term performance
3.Gold plated connectors provides maximum contacts ensuring uncompromising signal transfer
4.Multiple sheilding comprised of braided and solid sheilding to direct electronic noise away from the interconnect resulting in optimal signal transmission
5.PVC outer jacket surrounds the total length of each SLx Gold interconnect cable for protection from abrasion, damage and deterioration ( Where applicable)
Customer Reviews
Excellent solution for Freeview signal issues
Had problems with many channels on new Freeview TV operating with existing arial, especially Channel 5 where signal was almost non existent about 50% of the time. Replaced standard coaxial cable with this product-and now get all Freeview channels all the time with full signal. Inexpensive and easy solution.(I bought a signal booster too-but did not need to install it!)
Appear solid and well made but do not connect reliably to equipment
I live in an area with mostly reasonably good digital TV reception but I sometimes have problems due to nearby construction sites. I ordered a kit comprising two of these cables and an SLx aerial amplifier to try to solve the problem.
The cables are fitted with apparently solid connectors and I expected them to make a very positive connection with the sockets on the amplifier and TV. Not so! The connections are weak and unreliable and the slightest touch is all that is needed to break the connection. Connecting the male and female connectors of one cable together, or the male connectors of the other to the female of one, produces a similar poor connection that can be broken by the weight of the cable itself. It seems that one or both connector types uses non-standard dimensions. I tried using cheap, low quality cables and they seem to mate very well with the amplifier.
I cannot therefore recommend these unless you know that they will connect reliably with your own equipment.
Produced picture distortion
This cable produced picture distortion when used to connect a PVR to a TV in analogue mode. It perfomed badly compared to the original coax cable that I had made up myself. Very disappointing. Returned to Amazon.
Another product of the same make - a plug to plug cable - produced a drastic reduction in signal quality compared to a basic piece of coax. Also sent back.
