A very under-rated film (despite the awards success). Breath-taking in many aspects...funny, moving, well shot and the best score of any movie to this day.

Fincher really hit his stride here and managed to pull two excellent performances from Norton and Pitt (especially the former). Probably in many peoples' top ten, but with good reason.

Kauffman again...but Kudos also has to go to Gondry, whose visual style here really brings Kauffman's script to life.

Scanner Darkly is a strange film...sometimes not even holding a decent narrative. However, the rotoscope in its first major outing, coupled with excellent performances make it one interesting movie.

Academy Awards season always garners dissappointing results, but none more so than Rourke missing out on an Oscar for this one. Aronofsky didn't even get a nomination - truly breathtaking cinema!

Nolan again, turning Priest's novel into a movie of twists, magic and deceit. The whole film is presented as a magic trick, confounding you at every turn to just amaze you by it's prestige!

Donnie Darko was one of those films that nearly slipped under the radar. Imagine what the world would be like now if it had. No Jake. No Maggie. No Giant Bunnies named Frank. Awesome!

Aronofsky is a director who has always done well, and his follow up after Pi was definitely a challenging one. How do you make a film about dissappointment and failure interesting? Well, this is how!

Howl's Moving Castle was Miyazakis follow up to the Academy Award winner Spirited Away, and while HMC was not as well recognise as this, I find this film more accessible, interesting and fun to watch.

Adam Sandler has always been a favourite of mine since Waterboy all those years ago. Now to see him in a role like this is anough to make you wonder whether it's the same guy. Truly moving film.
