Excellent
Bought one of these about a year ago, and it is superb.
I bought a different brand (Admittedly cheap), and the power supply went pear-shaped after a few hours use.
I've accidentally left this switched on for about 10 hours and it's still going strong.
It's fast, reliable, portable and looks good.
The only thing that bugs me slightly, is that the LEDs are really bright, and leave after images if you look directly at them, and they can be a bit distracting if they are not turned away.
All in all an excellent product. Easy to set up (With care, as the interface connections to the actual drive seem a bit fragile), fast, and reliable.

Excellent Device
I have been using this enclosure for about a week now, and it has been excellent! It's aluminium and plastic case are excellent for the heat transfer - I've had it powered on and transferring files, for up to about 5 hours at a time - it's moderately fast, and has never got more than 'quite warm'.

This is an excellent enclosure, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Does the job
Having failed totally to get my new 1TB SATA 2 drive working with my motherboard (chipset not compatible with SATA 2), I reluctantly bought this to try to get it working. Very pleased with it, works a treat, although:
* Agree with other reviewer, the SATA cable is difficult to bend round inside the case. I managed it, but I'm not happy that the cable is under tension; I'm not sure how long it's going to last or what damage it is causing the drive's connector. They would have done better just making the box slightly longer to give more room for laying the cable properly.
* After several hours formatting, the fan is starting to buzz. Not too bothered since I will be using it for occasional backups, and the fan is so puny I'm not sure it makes much difference whether it's on or not.
* No mechnical instructions provided.

I like the fact you can switch it off from the front panel.

So in summary, good enough but I think I'd spend a few more pounds next time.
