The BT Verve 450 cordless telephone is a design led DECT phone that will look the part even in the most stylish office or home. It is a telephone that will do the job as well as the DECT technology will ensure crystal clear sound as well as an excellent range.

When connecting the BT Verve 450 DECT all you will need is a power supply and a normal analogue telephone line or analogue extension on a telephone system.

Built into the BT Verve 450 cordless phone is a digital answering machine with a 15min record time. The BT Verve 450 also has all the playback buttons on the base station which makes using the answering machine much easier. Sometimes playback controls are in the cordless phones handset which makes using the answering machine a little harder.

With a 200 name and number directory the BT Verve 450 cordless phone has plenty of storage space for contacts and there details. It makes calling them much easier as you don't have to input the number each time as well as store the information near the phone.

The handset has an LCD screen with a light that will illuminate it even further so it is even clearer to read. Also if the BT Verse 450 DECT is connected to a line with caller display activated the incoming number will be shown as well. With a 100Hrs standby time and a 10Hrs talk time the BT Verve 450 cordless telephone has the power to keep working through even the busiest of days.

Great phone. Definitely glad I bought it.
After reading a number of different reviews on this phone I was in two minds as to whether to get it. Some reviews on other sites said the sound quality was poor, there weren't enough ring tones, the base and the handset ring tones are different. Well after getting the phone and seeing for myself I'm glad I didn't listen to those reviews. The sound quality is crisp whether on loudspeaker or not. On loudspeaker I've had no problems except when on the other side of a 10ft room (but at that distance I was still just audible) and if you want to use your phone as a sort of announcing system then I'd suggest rebuilding your room and fitting one in. There's a good variety of ring tones from the standard ringing to classic and techno. If you're annoyed with the base unit not matching the handset you can just turn the volume down to off, however I've found it handy to have on a low simple tone in case you want to put the handset on silent and forget to turn it back on again. At least with the two tones you can be sure to not miss you calls. The answer machine is great and has three functions. You can either have it off, have it set so that someone can leave a message or have it set to notify that you're not there but so that they cannot leave a message. The only function that I couldn't really test is the text messaging as this is dependent on you service provider and being in Jersey this is not currently supported. Aside from the technical aspects, the handset itself is sleek, lightweight and straight forward to use. The symbols are pretty self explanatory, one for a the directory, messages and speakerphone. The buttons are also large and easy to press. The only thing that some may not be happy with is the fact that the keys are not back lit, but in my opinion unless you're always making calls in the dark this is a feature that can be managed without.

Good Phone To Buy
Having left bad feedback,on some BT phones,I can't do the same for this one.After taking back three phones to diffrent shops,the Verve 450,is the one that came out on top.It's easy to set up,and just the same to use,even I can do it,and that's saying something.You do need the loudspeaker on to hear it,but it's only the press of a button.If it were possible to give it 10 stars,I would have.May be one day,BT will do phones with spell checkers on,then you may make more sence,of my feedbacks.100% to Verve450

THIS PHONE WAS A REPLACEMENT. I HAD TO HAVE CERTAIN FEATURES SUCH AS A HIGH MEMORY FOR NAMES,( WE HAVE A BIG FAMILY), ANSWER MACHINE AND DIGITAL/CORDLESS, ALL THIS THE VERVE 450 HAS, IT'S SLEEK, HAS A GREAT RANGE AND OTHER QUIRKY FEATURES, SO ALL IN ALL I'M REALLY HAPPY WITH MY NEW PHONE, AND THE PRICE WITH AMAZON WAS UNBEATABLE!!
