Amazon.co.uk Review
Given that it's largely credited with reinventing Hollywood--or at least fostering its overweening box office expectations--it's hard to imagine that the genesis of George Lucas' sprawling, multi-billion dollar Star Wars franchise was once considered a risky studio proposition at best. But Lucas himself has wisely singled out the robust, retro-romantic music of composer John Williams as the unlikely artistic linchpin that holds all of the saga's disparate dramatic, thematic and technical elements firmly together. Boxed together here then are three of the most successful and influential film scores of modern Hollywood, work that draws as much on Williams' masterful sense of classical music history as it does his own well-studied melodic and arranging instincts. Each of the three double-disc collections here contains all of the music written for Star Wars: A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (and even Alfred Newman's introductory "Fox Fanfare"), newly upgraded via Direct Stream Digital remastering that adds stunning new presence and clarity to Williams' rousing, epochal scores. Each chapter also features a lenticular 3-D cover and newly designed fold-out film poster; the ultimate musical compendium of the original Star Wars triptych. --Jerry McCulley

Cheap & Cheerful3
This set is so basic I felt a bit ripped off. Inside the card box are the three DVD cases with bland looking covers, and inside were bare looking discs - it looks and feels like a cheap fake - but its the genuine article. I fell asleep during the "extras" disc.

1 star taken away for messing about - could have been more!4
As yet I have only listened to 'The New Hope' cd. Having bought the soundtrack from the original ( the truly original , non-special edition ) version of the film, I am already extremely familiar with the music. Perhaps this may be the problem. It would have received the full 5 stars if I hadn't had to listen to the not up to scratch filler tracks made for the special edition film. That is not the main problem _ 'they' have messed with the already existing tracks. From a purely musical point of view, the soundtrack has lost all its flow and coherence. Even if I programmed my player to skip the songs i dont like, the other tampering has changed the feel of the whole thing. Not good.

Star Wars sound tracks CD ROM set.5
Just to add to gorkyoftrebizond from Trabzon, Turkey review, I find this CD ROM the best in quality sound.

It takes you through the whole Star Wars films musically which includes the Cantina Band (when Luke and Ben meet Han and Chewie in the bar) and their second number played (CD 1 disk one) but it also includes the other rare Darth Vader March theme(CD2). These tracks were only available from US Sources in CD singles before this stunning collection.

Side one takes you from the Fox introduction then the music will take you through the films. Side one on each CD takes you roughly through the first part of the film or half way through.
Each CD side is about an hour or hour and fifteen minutes long and it is the whole score of each part of the film.

It is highly collectable and comes with the 3D CD cover and inlcudes the poster from the original films (mostly US release) but I found that the websites for the screensavers did not recognise my CD's to download. Very dissapointing as I inserted both CD's into my drive but could not get joy from this.

If you are planning a Star Wars night or want to use the music for a quiz then I can highly recommend this 3 CD set to you; even if you are just a Star Wars collector then this is for you.

If you know the films music you will already know the tracks, it is worth buying.

May the Force be with YOU.
