DVD Description
The first three series of the hit character sketch comedy show are included in this fabulous box set.

Tate's motley cast of creations became recognisable overnight to UK TV fans - from Lauren, the belligerent schoolgirl who infected the country with her 'am I bovvered?' catchphrase to the Tourettes-like antics of the helplessly foul-mouthed granny, Nan Taylor. Other oddball characters include Bunty Carmichael, the middle-aged majorette unable to give up, Sam and Paul, the simple Essex couple with their perpetually unbelievable stories, the Northern Irish mum who's delighted that her son is gay and 1950s landlady Ma Willow.

Contains the six episodes of the first series, the seven episodes of the second series, the six episodes of the third series and the 2007 Comic Relief special, which sees Lauren meeting prime minister Tony Blair and 'Doctor Who' star David Tennant, and Nan appearing on 'Deal or No Deal'.

Synopsis
Collection comprising the three first series of television funnywoman Catherine Tate's comedy sketch show, featuring all her best-known characters and routines.

Customer Reviews

Repetetive2
Amusing at first but rapidly becomes very boring, the same characters and jokes repeat in each episode.

No No No No No!2
If your one of those people who obsess on cheesy ctachphrases and repetitive tedious characters that tire after about three episodes then by all means get this.

I really fail to see whats so great about Catherine Tate, i like the granny, but the rest seem to be just novelty characters with no wit and who say "am i bovvered" and "How Very Dare you" i could go on.

Off the first series i also liked the women who screams at the slightest noise but after two or three sketches its just so samey and dull.

If you havnt seen Catherine Tate then i would reccomend renting the first season but dont get this, its a waste of time and money..

This Show Did Actually Manage To Make Me Laugh At Times1
But I was laughing at how terrible it is so it doesn't really count.

Only buy this if you enjoy seeing the same thing over and over and over again. Every character follows the same formula for every sketch they appear in, it's basically the exact same thing in a different setting or situation. (if your thinking right now "wow that show sounds good" then you should be shot, but before you are you might want to check out 'Little Britain')

And as for the intelligent character below who gave this 5 stars...

1. She isn't funnier than Matt Lucas or David Walliams... but it's close.
2. "the swearing...is fab" so, am I right in saying that you are giving a show credit, because you enjoyed the frequent use of bad language? Or was it the quality of cursing that impressed you? Or are you just an idiot?

p.s If i hear one more person say "Am I Bovverd" or "Bovvad" or whatever the hell it is... I think I'm going to stick a knife in my neck.
