Editorial Reviews

Album Description
The Singles Box 2: 1986-1995 contains 14 separate discs from the golden age of new-romantic favourites, Duran Duran. Rare B-sides and rare acoustic versions rub up against massive chart hits from the early "Notorious" and Bond theme "A View to a Kill", to the older-and-wiser classic "Ordinary World".

Customer Reviews

A must for any Durannie5
I have the 1981-1985 box set and just HAD to have this to complete the collection! I loved the 1st set because it was like miniature version of the vinyl singles that I had bought way back when. I did not buy the later singles just the albums so it was nice to see them in their mini-form and to get the benefit of all the extras they packed in on these discs. As usual Duran Duran have made sure that quality is maintained and this is a class act. I do not know anyone who does not like 'Ordinary World' or 'Come Undone' - maybe those people ought to invest here and discover some of the other songs that did not hit the charts so easily such as 'Do You Believe in Shame?' or 'Breath After Breath' (which I just love).

...And then there were THREE5
Duran Duran post Taylor and Taylor. The long awaited second singles box from the boys and an almost total transition in style. For better or worse a new maturer harder sounding Duran start this 82 track rollercoaster with Notorious and end with the cover White Lines. My only criticism has to be the lack of new tracks ( us collectors are treated to album tracks that we already have and old singles like Rio, Is There Something I Should Know and A View To A kill to name but a few). Maybe this was to remind us at the time that this WAS that same New Romantic outfit of the early days! Still, thats how the original cd singles were released and that is how they are presented here which is fair enough. ANYWAY if its the remixes you are after then you are in for a real treat.......they are all here( for example 7 versions of Violence Of Summer!) What more could you ask for??? Also included in this mammoth chapter of Duran history is the fairly 'hard to find' Burning The Ground which was released to promote Decade, the first official Duran compilation album in 1989. With excellent tracks like Come Undone, Notorious and the splendid Ordinary World this really is a great companion to 'Duran Duran the singles 81-85' .Buy it and LUV IT!!!!!!!

Best of the best5
I know some people have slated DDs later years but they cant have listening properly, this box set rocks and contains some of the best songs from the past 18 years, just buy it!
