Exploring the unknown side of the Canary Islands
I have lived almost all my life in the canary islands, and this is by far the best travel guide about the islands I've ever read.
simply the best
If you're headed to the Canaries to lay on the beach all day and party all night, then don't buy this book. If you want to EXPERIENCE the Canaries, then this is the only guide that will do. It could have listed a few more restaurants, but otherwise it was perfect for my wife and me. And by the way, it DOES list some great beaches, too!!!

I'm the author of this guide. I appreciate all your comments though I have to stand up for myself regarding the 'out of date' comments. The book was researched in late 2003 and I personally visited each and every restaurant in the guide so can guarantee that they didn't close a year before... Now of course, many things will have changed, but it is still the book that reaches the parts other guidebooks on the islas don't...
