About the Author
Betty Judge, a farmer's daughter, has been involved with animals all her life, and, as well as her lifelong passion for dogs, she has bred and exhibited horses, ponies and cattle. Betty acquired her first Border Terrier in the early 1980s, and she now has one of the largest breed kennels in the UK ,with numbers ranging from 50-100 at any one time. The Plushcourt kennel was founded on one dog and four bitches of various bloodlines, and all the dogs owned by her descend from these five dogs. A British Champion came from the first litter she bred, and many more British Champions have been bred or owned by her, as well as breeding a number of overseas Champions. One of Betty's greatest achievements was winning the Terrier Group at a General Championship Show with a Border Terrier bitch, who went on to gain her World title at the World Show in Brussels before returning to England. Betty has handled dogs professionally in the UK and overseas, and she is an international Championship judge of the breed.

Betty Judge obviously has a great deal of experience of this charming breed which reflects in her clear,concise narrative. It is full of common sense advice on puppys first days in its new home to showing, breeding, training and care of the veteran dog to name but a few of the topics packed into this book. Competitively priced and written with the pet owner in mind this book should accompany every Border puppy to its new home.

A huge amount of information in a Small Book.
Such an easy little book to read, amusing in parts. Written by a person who obviously has a wealth and great depth of knowledge of this charming breed. I am so glad I got a copy when I got my puppy, as it covers everything a pet owner would wish and need to know.
