Terry Gilliam is one of the most creative and imaginative film directors (and lets face it story teller) working in cinema today. From his early days working with the Pythons upto his recent works his imagination and scope has continually pushed at the boundaries (and sometimes the budget) of what can be achieved in movie making. Is he is a modern day Michelangelo (the 16th Century artist rather than the ninja turtle) or a modern day Brother Grimm - probabbly both. He is undoubtedly a genius and his films continue to astound and suprise (not an easy achievement in the modern world). Here is hoping for many more films from him in the future (despite the studio system that he, quite rightly, continues to rail against for their lack of imagination). Jabberwocky [DVD] [1977] [Region 1] [US Imp... Magic fantasy from the maestros early period.

Lost In La Mancha [DVD] [2002] £3.98 The tale of the Gilliam film that had to be abandoned after 2 days of shooting.	The Fisher King [DVD] [1991] £3.98 Waltzing in central station. Gilliam's epic on a budget.	Tideland [2006] [DVD] £4.98 Gilliams recent darker offering that slipped under the radar.
