This book helped us sleep at night!!!
as first time puppy owners, we have been using this book as our bible! it is easy to read (even at 3am when pup won't stop crying!) is set out really clearly when you just need to dip in for quick help and contains so much information we're still not through it all.
it's written in a friendly tone and gives simple advice that is easy to follow and really works. it reassures that you should do what is right for you and your pup and also has loads of information that you never thought you'd need to know.
would definitely recommend

Informative Book but US Centric
I am in the UK and looking to get a labrador retriever dog or puppy. This book has been useful in terms of training, behaviour, grooming etc. However anywhere in the book giving tips (apart from the appendices) is entirely US unformation. Any costs quoted are American and many examples of various scenarios would not really apply to the UK for various reasons.
Still a good book but not ideal. I bought online and confirmed the price was in sterling only, the publisher was in UK and appendices had UK details... little did I know that it was an American book poorly adopted for the UK market.
