Product Description

When sweet, naive Melissa seeks a job with her old Home Economics teacher she is half way through the interview before it dawns on her that Mrs McKinnon isn't interested in her cookery skills, but is in fact running an escort agency. Melissa panics, but she needs the cash - and what harm can providing lonely men with stimulating conversation over dinner do? More exciting still, she’ll get to wear a disguise…

Enter her alter ego: Honey. As flirty and feminine as a Bond girl, as confident and sexy as Mary Poppins in silk stockings, Honey brings out a side to Melissa she never knew she had. A side that will get her into hot water, (and out of it) and that she’ll never want to lose…

An agency well worth owning!5
Melissa Rommey-Jones is dark haired, slightly chubby, sometimes frumpy, down on herself, out of work and under appreciated. Honey Blennerhesket on the other hand is blond, voluptuous, sexy, intelligent, feisty and in high demand throughout London. Fortunately for Melissa she and Honey are one and the same, unfortunately for Melissa she has yet to realize it. Melissa believes that the blond wig and fancy Agent Provocateur undies turn her into a different person, one that men love to be around. Why else would the handsome and oh-so-grown-up Jonathan Riely want to spend so much of his time with her?

As Melissa's agency takes off Honey becomes in high demand for all of London's not-so-eligible bachelors, however, Jonathan Riley the sexy American divorcee seems to be particularly interested in Honey's...or rather Melissa's services.

I found 'THE LITTLE LADY AGENCY' to be a breath of fresh air compared to all of the Prada and Jimmy Choo filled chick lit floating around these days. While Melissa's family was horrible and her self-esteem issues grew tiresome at times, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about all of Honey's quirky clients and her budding relationship with Jonathan. Also I must admit the book kept me on my toes wondering if Melissa would end up with Nelson, the lovable best friend, or Jonathan, the hard edged estate agent, neither of whom did Browne turn into a cad at any point in the novel.
'THE LITTLE LADY AGENCY' is chick lit at it's finest and well worth reading! Cannot wait for the sequel 'LITTLE LADY, BIG APPLE'!!

Absolutely brilliant Summer chic lit for by the pool!5
I have never written a book review online in my entire life, but this book is truly excellent. The heroine is sweet and funny, and the characters are well established. I literally couldn't put it down. I felt I could relate to the lead character ("because everybody has a little bit of Honey in them!")and the supporting characters are very charming (and rather remind me of my friends). Melissa/ Honey (the lead) has a ghastly family who produce much entertainment throughout the novel (family disaster is always a sure fire humour factor) Hester Brown portrays the way the female mind works in a charming way, which had me in fits of laughter. The idea of a split personality in real- life situations is a brilliant twist. I can only hope there is a sequel to this novel,as I enjoyed it greatly. How funny that a chance buy at the railway station turned out to be one of my alltime favourite chic-lit novels! I have already suggested to my family and friends that they buy this novel, it really is terrific.

Was Hester Browne Reading My Thoughts?5
I really connected with this scrumptious story. The heroine is a brunette, curvy girl, who is adept with needle and thread, and can boss the most socially inept man into line. And me? I am a brunette, curvy girl...often found with needle and thread in hand!

Although there is more to Melissa than meets the eye-her glamorous, blonder, more confident alter-ego Honey. Now I have not gone so far as to buy myself a blonde wig as Melissa does, but I do find myself 'borrowing' little tricks from Honey- I always think of something gorgeous like a mug of hot chocolate before answering the phone for example.

And that is just where the danger is in this book- you find yourself wanting to dress like Honey, talk like Honey, walk like Honey. And as most ladies know- that means shopping!

So lose yourself in this lovely entertaining story- and then rush to your computer and order the next one, Little Lady Big Apple!
