Editorial Reviews

From the Author
KISS AN ANGEL brings back happy memories.
A number of years ago, my family lived in New Jersey. Our house backed up to the elementary school our sons attended. (I could even watch them at recess from my office window, something I loved to do.) Anyway, there was a large field attached to the school, and early one morning my husband and I awakened to a strange pounding sound. We looked out our window and saw elepehants! A traveling circus had moved in during the night. The noise that had awakened us came from the stake pounder. I abandoned my typewriter and spent most of that day in the field watching workers set up the big top. I also peaked into trucks and trailers as inconspicuously as I could manage. I must confess I wasn't interested in the circus performance at all. Rather, it was the lives of the performers and workers that intrigued me. What must it be like? I stored the experience away for many years, until long after we'd moved from New Jersey to our current home near Chicago. Then one day it all bubbled to the surface and KISS AN ANGEL began to take shape in my head. From the beginning, Daisy captivated me. She was such a ditz, but I adored her because her heart was so pure. And Alex... The dark, tortured hero is irresistable to those of us who love romance, isn't he? I hope all of you enjoy my one and only circus book!

Customer Reviews

One of the best I have read in some time5
When I first started the to read Kiss an Angel I thought "Oh No - Not a Circus!" But I was soon to find I did not want to put the book down it was so good. I have been single for many years but this book made me think it would be wonderful to have someone to love. I did laugh and cry and would like to try to be even Half the person Daisy was. Needless to say, I will devour all of SEP Books I can find. Hope whe gets copies of the reviews to see how much her readers appreciate her.

Kiss An Angel4
The title has little to do with what I found to be a great book. Wonderful chick-lit. This is a re-print from 1996 and I'm glad. I hadn't come across SEP before but will definatley be ordering more books.

Alex is a wonderful Alpha hero: broody, good looking, delightfully clueless about his feelings for Daisy (who has just enough spine to counter her emotions). Loved watching them fall in love and found the circus-side of the book fascinating too.

Well worth a read.

Great!!5
I wasn't sure if I would like a book with the circus being the setting, especially after having read _Honey Moon_ and not liking it much at all. But other than _Honey Moon_, I have liked the other Susan Elizabeth Phillips books that I have read so I tried this one. I loved it!
