In 2001, the thirty-fifth official Australians' touring party of cricketers arrives for a tour of the United Kingdom. Here, cricket author William Powell commemorates past Australian tours through a superb collection of over 200 images, accompanied by detailed captions.
Since the first Aussie tour, back in 1878, great teams and individuals have graced our shores on tour. These include the great Australian teams before and after the Second World War, in 1938 and 1948, captained by the legendary batsman Don Bradman. Other star leaders, such as Richie Benaud (1961), Allan Border (1985, 1989, 1993) and Mark Taylor (1997) are also featured.
With a foreword by Justin Langer, of Western Australia, Middlesex and Australia, this fantastic pictorial account beautifully displays the heroes of the game; it will surely evoke happy memories for followers of the Australian tours and delight cricket fans everywhere.

Customer Reviews
By far the best on its subject - splendid throughout
This book written by William Powell is a very informative account of Australian tours to England since the first in 1878.
It covers extensively the Bradman era and is brought right up to date with the Waugh twins and even Shane Warne.
The collection of pictures including action shots is excellent.
