DVD Description

Peep Show Series 3 continues to follow the domestic adventures of Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb)--two quirky flat mates who live in South London. Jeremy is an aimless waster and wannabe musician, while Mark is a socially-awkward 50 year-old trapped in the body of a twenty-something. What stands out about "Peep Show" is its finely honed script and strong lead performances by the show's creators, David Mitchell and Robert Webb. The fact that viewers are able to hear the innermost thoughts of Mark and Jez as they encounter various problems makes their characters all the more vulnerable and sympathetic. The result is a well-observed comedy for anyone who spends life at the mercy of their own hesitant thoughts (...and who doesn't?).

Synopsis

Mark Corrigan and Jeremy 'Jez' Osborne are always caught up in some form of malaise, constantly at each other's throats as they struggle to find a direction in life. While Jez has unrealistic aspirations of becoming a musician, Mark is stuck in an interminable office job, where the object of his affections--co-worker Sophie--is the only thing which keeps him sane. In Peep Show Series 3, Jeremy tries to get over his disastrous marriage to his ex-'visa wife' Nancy by embarking on a series of ill-fated relationships with women--one of whom is Mark's sister. In the meantime, Mark has finally managed to start dating Sophie--only to discover she's being relocated to Bristol!

Reviewing a product 2
This is a review of the product rather than the series. People thinking bout buying this particular series of PEEP show on DVD should be aware that the DVD might not play on their players.

I've tried this disc out on 3 DVD players and none have been able to load the disc. Haven't had any problem with ; series 1, series 2, series 4 DVDs of PEEP show.

Can't review this series - haven't seen it. I should have taken notice of the previous reviewers here.

No problem here5
Happy to report that this plays fine on my laptop - hopefully the problems are solved.

The actual show is excellent, as always.

Brilliant program, moronic disc copyright (just doesn't play on pretty much everything)5
Well, the program is superb. One of the best comedies I've ever seen, and series 3 continues this fine quality. No issues there. However, it just will not play on anything (PC, dvd player, games consoles). Even VLC media player will not play this bloody disc. I've tried returning it several times, and tried new discs out to see if I was unlucky. But every disc I've tried just does not play. Very annoying. Its ironic; whoever designed the coypright law for this disc obviously put so much of it on he didn't want people to copy it, but by doing this he's actually encouraged people to download it illegally off the net and put it onto discs of their own.

And by the way, whoever came up with the decision to put so much copyright stuff on the discs desevers to be buggered by John Prescott. Twice.
