Not bad...
I wasnt very optimistic about this game having owned the last varsion which was terrible, however, having seen this advertised on amazon for only £10 i thought "why not?" and i decided to give it ago.
The game it self isnt to realistic, especaily the transfer market (i signed ronaldinho for £7 million) but this for me just makes it more fun and enjoyably compared to the king of football management games "football manager" which is very realistic. pm06 is also very fast and i reckon a season could quite easily be completed in 2-3 hours maybe even less. I like the interactive feature in this game which allows you to have conversations with people such as the chairman, players and even repoters, for instance, you can ask the chairman for money and he will ask you for your reason for asking him for his preciouse money and your responce will influence the amount he gives you.
There are a few downsides to the game; transfers arnt perticuly up to date (Canavaro, van nistelrooy arnt at real madrid amongst others). The score lines sometimes are a bit unrealistic.
So to sum it all up this game is very solid and would be a brilliant stop gap for between now and the release of football manager 2007
Be the best that you can be..
Well, Iam new to the premier manager series and so I did not know what to expect, I had become increasnly dishartened with Championship manager and wanted to try something different.
I was not dissapointed with this game, It is more fun than championship manager because it doesn't take itself a seriously, there are parts of the game which you would want to improve such as the navigation, you can really tell this game was made for a game console and not a PC.
All in all at this price you can not afford not to buy it.. Even if you are not overjoyed with it, the game will keep you occupied untill championship manager or football manager come out later in the year.
Boring... boring... boring...
Well, this is actually the first management game I purchased and I found it boring. It may have all player/team names etc, but it is not working to me. I do not know how much do all the training/tacticts affect game proccess. It seems to me that whatever I do, i get the same results. Also, tactics are limited. Poor effort. I'll stick back to PS5, waiting for PS6...
