Abbath (Immortal) slows things down a bit, but the metal is through the roof. Excellent vocals, desolate imagery, and the best solos of the year courtesy of Ice Dale. Get the digipak for more tracks.

Album of the year, Igor Cavalera's swan song. Blistering thrash meets doom by way of horns and Dante Aligheri. Their best by a county mile. (I don't know what that means).

Not as perfect as the preceding two, though there are moments of greatness. I think the opening track may be the best of their career. Great one-off drumming from John Bennett, too.

Sadly, the awesomeness of Stench has since proven to have been a fluke. But that doesn't take away from how INCREDIBLE this is. Perhaps the heaviest production ever, some of the best solos too.

Stunning concert, TWO great documentaries. Volkerball is king among concert DVDs.

Worth buying several copies of just to hear their grammy-winning cover of "Whiplash". Seriously.

Ah, those first perfect issues, when the story was actually planned, rather than made up as it went. Great messy McFarlane artwork, and guest issues from Miller and Moore. Buy it.

A spotless print of the best Bond film, which makes it look only ten years old. Great comprehensive extras too, and actually interesting, not just fluff.

Say what you want about Tom Cruise (if you want your brains smashed off) but you CANNOT deny how good this is. Literally exhilarating.
