Product Description

Equine anatomical structure and terminology is universally regarded as one of the most difficult aspects of equine studies. Equine students have long been familiar with Goody's "Horse Anatomy: The Pictorial Approach to Equine Structure", a textbook used in equine colleges all over the world. Now, based on this classic work, talented equestrian artist, Maggie Raynor, has prepared a workbook designed to make learning not only easier, but a lot more fun. Students are asked to label or colour various parts of the equine body in a succession of exercises covering every part of the horse and every aspect of its structure, from the skeleton to the outer surfaces. A natural stable mate to "Horse Anatomy, The Horse Anatomy Workbook" will assist a new generation of students to familiarize themselves with equine structure and terminology.

About the Author
Maggie Raynor is probably the most successful and sought-after equine illustrator working today. She is an experienced rider whose chief pleasure is schooling horses, and her intimate knowledge of horses, coupled with her well developed powers of observation ensure that her attractive and accurate illustrations convey information that is crystal clear. Maggie trained in sculpture at Sheffield College of Art and moved on to study print-making at the Royal College of Art. She was awarded a scholarship to further her print-making studies in Germany and when she returned took up riding and decided to become an equine illustrator instead. After many years in London she now lives in Sheffield.

Insides and Out4
Great book - horse anatomy is quite complicated and this helps break it down and you can gain a better understanding as you study by colouring in so it helps you remember things better. I have other horse anatomy books which are extremely technical and difficult to follow unless you are already a qualified vet, but this I found was very helpful and should be considered by anyone studying horses or who is just simply interested in understanding the horse anatomy further.
