The Gripes of Wrath is the perfect gift book for the 'grumpy' generation. It is guaranteed to make you laugh - and also make your blood boil! This mind-blowing collection of absurd and yet completely true stories, rules, claims, and crazy legislation portrays the Britain that we have become, almost without realizing it. Political columnist Simon Carr has scoured national and local newspapers, Hansard parliamentary reports, the minutes of parliamentary committee meetings, statements from quangos and local councils to compile hundreds of true stories, anecdotes and events that will prompt the scandalized response of: 'I don't believe it!'. From political sleaze to massaged waiting lists, from barmy health and safety concerns to bizarre compensation claims, everyone who believes in justice, decency, fair play and common sense will find something in this attractively produced book to infuriate them.

About the Author
Simon Carr has been the Independent's parliamentary sketch writer and columnist for the last five years, and is, by common consent, the rudest of them all. An engaging and amusing talker and writer, Simon Carr was speech writer for the prime minister of New Zealand from 1992-4.

Ten Themes to Inspire and Empower
Isn’t it amazing to think that only ten questions could change our approach to management, or coaching ?. I think Graham Alexander achieves just that change in this excellent little book. In fact he poses rather more than 10 questions - grouped into ten key themes. In a relaxed and highly readable style, stuffed with useful examples, Mr Alexander’s thoughts are truly thought provoking and empowering. This is a great book, packaged into neat little chunks to make it ideal reading for train, plane or before bed. I would recommend it to any manager or business coach.
Review of Tales from theTop
I would recommend this book to any aspiring coach and anyone who wants to be coached. Graham's experience shows in the book. He guides you through the type of investigation and introspection that a world-class coach would give their coachee. He also gives a behind the scenes appreciation of what goes on in coaching. I particularly like the fact that he doesn't fudge the importance of looking at someone's life in entirety - personal as well as work situation, knowing that one affects the other. It is well constructed and is a useful as well as thought-provoking book.
Tales from the Top
When I knew about the book idea, I loved it long before it was published. Being familiar with Graham’s ability, insights and knowledge of organisations and businesses, I knew that he could bring a different angle. And breathe life into old, monotonous business books for the current commercial realities.
Reading the book I was so excited, that I would recommend it to the world.
It is a motivational book, and Graham’s understanding and professionalism come across very well. He makes you pay attention. You find yourself willing to discover an answer to key questions.
For instance: "WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU DID LESS?"
He asks the questions and you yourself will seem to get closer to the truth. The million dollar questions make you think for yourself. Graham doesn’t give you the answers. You will identify yourself in the question. You will be as close as possible to the answers yourself.
Tales from the Top is about exploring issues within leadership and management. This book gives an approach for discovering and being clear about day to day work and life. This process can help you to let go and to become a better person.
