Product Description

From girl next door to the nation's sweetheart, this is the story of Chantelle's spectacular rise to fame and celebrity. Told in her own words, Chantelle takes us on what has been a sometimes bumpy, but a truly magical journey. As a little girl growing up in Essex, Chantelle Houghton dreamed of becoming famous and living the life of a star. But never could she have imagined just how this dream would eventually come true, transforming her into one of Britain's most loved and talked about celebrities. Here, we learn how her family played a crucial role in helping to shape her dreams and aspirations from an early age. We hear of the difficult times growing up and how Chantelle was able to overcome these obstacles, eventually launching a career in modeling. But it was to be Celebrity Big Brother that would change the course of Chantelle's life forever. She tells of the moment she first discovered she'd been picked, what really went on behind the scenes - the clashes of personalities in the house, the fallings out...and, of course, her falling in love with Preston. Winning Big Brother was a defining moment, and the madness that followed in those first few days outside of the house was to be just the beginning of Chantelle's new dream life. Learning to become accustomed to her new found fame hasn't been straightforward, but Chantelle has always kept her feet firmly on the ground. But it has been her love for Preston that has been the real fairy tale in Chantelle's extraordinary journey. She tells how their love grew away from the glare of paparazzi, and how this whirlwind romance ended up becoming the wedding of the year. In this honest and open autobiography, Chantelle shares her secret hopes and dreams for the future and looks back on the past year and reflects on just what an amazing fairy tale it's been.

Hail to the new literary giant1
Why would anyone ever waste their time reading about the life of Nelson Mandela when you could read about the life and achievements of Chantelle, truly one of if not THE greatest person alive today.
She has achieved so much in her life after all she won Big Brother which is more than can be said for Gandhi and she has managed to touch and inspire us all with her deep and insightful message to humanity of "Oh my God" which makes Martin Luther Kings 'I have a dream' speech look positively amateurish and contrived in comparison.
I am only giving this one star because I thought the forgetting to brush her teeth when she was nine anecdote was a bit too revealing and near the knuckle though I guess all historically great figures have their flaws.

"Living the dream" ? What dream?!1
This book was clearly ghost-written. Do you actually think that Chantelle has the patience to read, let alone write? If you are thinking of buying this book for yourself or a relative, please reconsider giving your hard-earned money to this braindead eternal victim. She is nothing. A nobody. A non-entity, and her "STORY" (with a moral and everything!!!1!!) about her triumphant rise to the top where she LIVES the DREAM is a JOKE. Is your dream just to be sucessful without trying, valued for being "attractive" (sorry if I like my women with a little weight behind their eyes too!) for the short time she will have before age claims what little values she has for a moronic tabloid driven culture? Or would you rather work at it and feel some kind of self-respect, being liked or, ahem, RESPECTED for who you are?

Think you want this 'book'? Think again.

The second best book ever written5
After reading Katie Price's gripping & well (ghost) written autobiography, I didnt know if I would ever read a book so amazing ever again. That book saved my life, I was on a one way road to destruction before the shy & coy Ms Price convinced me that life can be worth something meaningful if you're rich. Now I pick up this masterpiece, written by the talented & stunning A-list celebrity that is Chantelle Houghton. Now Ms Houghton's road to fame isn't conventional. She was picked a a 'fake' celeb for the wacky & much loved Celeb Big Brother. With her cheeky charms & dazzling make up, Chantelle stormed to the nation's hearts with her original & timeless catchphrase's, such as 'Oh my God!' A media storm surrounded her & her relationship with rock god, Preston of the the Ordinary Boys, a fairytale coming together of two hard-working mega talents. The book is easy to read thankfully, Chantelle's struggles such as forgetting to brush her teeth at 9 shocked me to my core & stayed on my mind for many days afterwards. The book is full of twists & turns, forever making you think Chantelle had made it & then cruelly snatching it away from under her nose. I was in tears many times. When we finally reach the CBB chapter, even though I knew what was going to happen, my hands would shake so much turning the page praying there would be no more disapointment for Chantelle & her hard earned career. The rest as they say, is history. Chantelle had won CBB & forever entered the British publics heart. I began to cry with joy & I didnt stop for four weeks. I lost four stone & ruptured my vocal chords with happy tears. Thus book is a joy to read from cover to cover, I couldnt put it down! Do your loved one a favour & buy this book for your anniversary as the only present, its the only thing he/she will ever need. God bless you Chantelle!
