One of Sarah's best albums.5

One of Brightman's best albums and a perfect album for those fans who prefer her soprano abilities as opposed to the pop.

This album opens with a beautiful track in 'No One Like You' and includes one or two dramatic duets. This also includes the massive chart hit 'Time To Say Goodbye' sung with Andrea Bocelli, and one of my personal favourites - the famous 'O Mio Babbino Caro' that many will recognise that is recorded live.

timeless beauty!!!!4
miss brightmans biggest uk release! hit the charts on the back of the single "time to say goodbye" and there are more classics were that came from!

tracks like "no one like you" "just show me how to love you" "who wants to live forever" are in the same vain...sarah makes classical music accessible!

there are a few real classical numbers which are fine if you like them...i find them a bit heavy...plus i like to know what they are singing about!

i adore "there for me" "tu quieres volver" and especially "naturaleza muerta" which for years it though meant 'natural death' but in fact is a song about waiting for a fisherman to return to shore...still sarahs vocals and the orchestra sounds fantastic!

sarahs voice is amazing....wether she is singing classical or modern...i prefer her modern work...which nobody else in the uk seems to give a chance! "dive" "harem" and "eden" are wonderful for this!!!

A Classic Album5
Sarah Brightman is one of those rarities who has found fame in countries other than her own. Of course, British people remember her for her association with Lord Lloyd Webber, and those even older probably have a record single of 'I lost my heart to a starship trooper'. But this is an album that did considerably well on home ground, and rightly so.

From the opening bars to the ecstatic high notes of the final encore, the listener is taken on a musical journey, through a range of music styles, superbly orchestrated and arranged, and of course sung with the skill and unique style of Ms Brightman.

There are familiar songs (Queen and Gypsy Kings) and a range of interesting arrangements (Bilitis, En aranjuez con tu amor) which blend seamlessly into an audible dream.

Some bad diction in the opening song goes almost un-noticed thanks to the emotional intensity and of course, the rest of the beautiful songs on the album.

This is highly recommended and is especially relevant nearly 10 years since the recording thanks to the current thirst for crossover artists such as Katherine jenkins, Il Divo and G4. Crossover artists themsleves owe homage to this wonderful lady who perhaps started the trend.
