Very misleading...
The device does work, but the description is quite misleading. I thought that I'd be getting something that would allow me to use my USB hard drive as a network drive so that all the PC's on my home network could access it. No the case. This allows only ONE PC to access the storage at a time, which means that if someone else was looking ay photos, for example and I wanted to listen to some music, I'd have to run downstairs, and ask them to disconnect, then run back up stairs and click connect. I could just as easily carry the hard drive up and down the stairs with me and save myself £25!!! This is not a replacement for a proper, shared network storage.

If you are thinking of buying this item, be prepared to send it back! Firstly, it takes a fair few minutes to configure itself once a fresh drive has been plugged in - but just appears to freeze while this happens! It eventually comes back, however, after a few minutes of activity browsing files etc, the device locks and you can't access the web config or any of the services - it requires a full power-off reset to come back. My guess is defective firmware.

I Purchased this before reading previous reviews,Had a little trouble setting up the device.But eventually made the right pc connections,trouble is that I was expecting to much of this single port device.It would connect then disconnect itself and sometimes would not be seen whatsoever.I think the problem might be down to the small power supply possibly.I returned for a refund.
