Average customer review:
The three Crusell concertos collected together on one disc.

Emma Johnson's earliest success came with performances of Crusell's witty and lyrical Second Concerto and for many people, she put this composer on the map. Several of her earliest recordings featured Crusell's concertos and within months of the release of the last one (coupled with concertos by Mozart's contemporaries Kozeluch and Krommer) ASV issued a single disc containing Emma Johnson's recordings of all three concertos. The other two concertos had been previously released on DCA559 and The Romantic Clarinet.
This record is a generous 74 minutes long, and so sadly there was no room to include Emma's brilliant performance of Crusell's other work for clarinet and orchestra - the Introduction, Theme and Variations on a Swedish Air - which appears with her recording of Weber's First Concerto.

Emma Johnson plays brilliantly on all three concertos. The English Chamber
Orchestra are top form on concertos two and three and the Cadenza by
Edward Moore and Emma works well in concerto two.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra do a fine job in concerto one this is a
