About the Author
Ted McMinn is a legend both at Rangers and at Derby County and this is his first book. Robin Hutchison was born in Glasgow and brought up in Derby. He watched The Tin Man's Derby County home debut against Manchester United at the Baseball Ground in February 1988 standing on a borrowed milk crate. He now lives in London and works in the Public Relations department of bookmakers Ladbrokes.

The Tin Man - Review
I Have just read The Tin Man and this is more than just a sports book. Most books about footballers tend to drift off as the playing days of the footballer come to an end. However Ted McMinn's willingness to confront his demons from the past and his current disability make it a very good story indeed. The book is also well constructed and well written. Ted's character and sense of humour also come to the fore. Little wonder his popularity at Rangers and Derby County (his two main clubs) has not diminished with the passing years. All in all a thoroughly good read.
Tin Man
This is an excellent insight into the lows, highs and lows of a footballing cult hero. Written with pathos without actively seeking sympathy, this book beats those "Look at me, wasn't I great?" autobiographies that seem to over-populate this sector hands down.
This book is an absolute must read for all fans of Rangers and Derby and those anglophile Sevilla fans. I would also heartily recommend it to all football fans in general, especially in these times of over-inflated egos and wage packets.
Rams legend
A superb read. This is an honest insight into the highs and lows of a man who made his living as a pro before big money came into the game. Teds "warts and all" depiction of his career and life, including some very interesting choices made along the way, is both amusing and touching. The book is fantastically constructed by the author to make this a thoroughly enjoyable and easy read. I felt like the story had been told to me by Ted and Robin over a couple of relaxing pints at my local! Even my wife enjoyed it! Highly recommended.
