I've just become a big fan of the Goon Show, and being able to buy these episodes for such a low price was great. I enjoy being able to listen again and again to these episodes, and encourage the BBC to release more of the 250 or so episodes on tape and CD.

When I was in the third grade I won a contest in a newspaper for creating a character called "Lurgy the Bird" and living in "The States" I had never heard of "The Goon Show". It's ironic that years and years later the first episode I ever heard from the Goons was "Lurgi Strikes Britian". I was shocked and amused at the same time. It's still my favourite episode. So far this has been one of my favourite Goon Show collection. It includes some of the best episodes in my opinion including "Napoleon's Piano", "The Great International Christmas Pudding" and "The Flea". Spike Milligan is a brilliant writer who excels in absurdist humour and mangling words. This collection is a must for any Goon fan or new fan or anybody who is curious about the Goons. Have a gorilla.
