Reflexology for Students
Having used this book as a student, I can certainly recommend it to other potential students or practicing therapists. It is well laid out, with good quality detailed diagrams, and provides useful explanations for learning the basic techniques. It also has excellent information given in the form of good diagrams, relating to the reflexes to stimulate, for each of the major/ commonly occuring illnesses.
Probably not the most interesting of books for the amateur.
One of the best books on Reflexology around
This book is one of the best books on reflexology around: clearly laid out, lots of pictures, most common conditions mentioned. Especially good for a reflexology practitioner beginning to work with real patients and real illnesses. It also mentions complementary visualisation techniques to apply during treatments, which may not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea but can help the healing and relaxation process. In conclusion, a must have for any practitioner, professional or amateur.
A factual and interesting book for the beginner to the art.
I first used laura normans book when i was doing a diploma in reflexology in college. I found her approach to the subject an excellant welcome to the art of reflexology, and i base alot of my methods around her own. She offers different insights into the application as well as the self healing that comes from the mind. I still find that even whilst i now have my own clientele, i still reach for laura normans book to compare some of her techniques with my own. Im glad that I trained and had this invaluable tool as one of my teachers.
