Life Coaching Made Easy
I enjoyed reading Fiona Harrold's book "The 10-minute Life Coach: Fast-working Strategies for a Brand New You". It's the ideal solution for anyone who has great intentions for setting those New (year) goals and resolutions, but never quite get the plan into fruition. It offers practical steps on how to kick start yourself into action, while Fiona's inspiration, enthusiasm and motivational skills gently, but firmly lead you towards and through the first steps of goal setting, attaining those dreams or releasing your true potential.
The book will challenge you to look at yourself from many different angles, It will get you to question the validity of those beliefs you may have held about yourself for a long time, with some surprising and sometimes fun results.
Fiona's book offers many quick wins, which often have an instant positive effect on your sense of well being.
The book is easy to read and at times it's hard to put it down as you learn new skills or remember old one's that you had forgotten.
Fiona's sticks to the 'Keep it simple' principle and has done away with the jargon and mystery often found in self-development books, it has something to offer everyone.
So whether you have a busy lifestyle and are always on the move or relaxing away from it all, this is a book to keep with you, dip in, learn something new about you and your potential.
Invest those 10 minutes daily with your pocket life coach. You know things might just begin to happen!

The Ultimate Guide to Just Doing It!
Until recently, I groaned if anyone mentioned self help books. However, the discovery that my happiest – and probably most successful – friend credited these books which much of the excellent advice that he gave me, I had a rethink. Clearly he was a believer - and it hadn’t done him any harm.
Having trawled through some of the top self help books on the market, I was disappointed. I found one so badly written that I gave up more less than half way through, another so unbearably cheesy that my arteries made me stop reading in protest. Stating the obvious and spouting meaningless jargon seemed to be the order of the day, and I was mystified as to how they had become top sellers.
However, Harrold’s 10 minute life coaching is not of this ilk. Well written, with a down to earth tone, the book sets out to do exactly what it says on the cover. Harrold has divided her book into sections that stand alone in addressing areas of self improvement. They don’t even need to be read in a particular order. Harrold takes a broad view, asking you to address your motives and examine your expectations before moving on to focus on your goals.
Each chapter ends with a series of questions which are very easy to relate to. Although some initially seemed irrelevant to me, I found myself having several “eureka!” moments after they had been swimming around my subconscious for a while. Asking the right questions is clearly one of Harrold’s talents.
This book is much more about action than talk, more concerned with positively moving forward than stopping for introspection. However large or seemingly small your goals might be, Harrold will have you pursuing them with gusto and probably wondering why you never did so before. The chapters on action and motivation are worth the cover price alone. It’s taken me some time to finish reading this book as I found myself abandoning it mid sentence to go and get things done. My existence as a dreamy couch potato has definitely been challenged!
Anyone who has found themselves 100% ready to “just do it” but mysteriously remains glued to the sofa - this is for you. Harrold is refreshing realistic, accepting that there is a time for inaction and that sometimes enthusiasm will wane. The book also talks about making achieving your goals easier, a concept which might seem lazy or unrealistic, but actually makes perfect sense.
This book is beautifully written and sensibly structured - and therefore could be used time and time again to refresh and rejuvenate aims and ideals. Harrold’s unique approach makes this an ideal book for anyone who wants to improve themselves, be it on a personal level or for a career agenda. If you’ve read a lot of books in this genre and found them unhelpful – finally, this is the one you’re looking for!
