very basic items listed3
Although this book is quite interesting, the actual items listed are too few to be able to use it without another more comprehensive book. Chicken breast is not listed for example, only "chicken (roast)". Not much help when you're making a chicken breast casserole and want to know how many calories are in it.

A brilliant book for the low fat enthusiast.5
I was extremely pleased with this book. It gave me the information that I needed to beat a high cholesterol problem. All information is given in portion sizes, which helps to keep a count of the fat grams consumed and it covers all the items I normally eat.

I like the way it is divided into chapters covering Carbohydrates, Fat and Protein in Chapter one, Vitamins in Chapter two and Minerals and Trace Elements in Chapter 3 with a highly readable section at the beginning of each chapter giving an in-depth explanation of each subject.

I found it very easy to follow and it has enabled me to accurately fill in the nutrition section of my new Mastercook programme. This book will be used over and over until it falls apart at the spine.
