Great modern introduction to crewel work
This book will inspire you if you are new to crewel work - lots of small contemporary projects to build confidence and technique and is a really modern approach to what was considered an old lady's hobby.
Note that instead of using Linen Twill as suggested you can use Linen Union fabric which is much easier to get hold of.
easy to follow...
... and that is what counts if like me your not that sure what you are doing!
