microSD is designed for new mobile phones that are compact yet fully-featured with storage-intensive multimedia applications such as digital cameras, video capture and playback, MP3 players, video games, personal organizers, Multimedia Message Service (MMS), email and voicemail capabilities. The exceptionally small size of microSD (11mm x 15mm x1mm) represents approximately one quarter of the volume of the smallest removable flash cards available on the market today and allows handset manufacturers to incorporate significant amounts of removable storage capacity into their progressively smaller handsets without changing the physical size of the phone. microSD represents a new type of flash memory for mobile phones that combines the space-saving benefit of embedded flash memory with the flexibility of removable flash storage cards. Given the extremely small size of the microSD module, handset manufacturers have greater flexibility to implement microSD into their new designs. A range of microSD connectors are available that support external slots as well as ?under-the-battery? placement. The microSD module is likely to be used as a semi-permanent storage device in the handset, and is ideal to transport subscriber data and settings from an older microSD enabled phone to a new one. microSD has built- in content protection rights management to allow secure downloads of content such as songs, video clips and video games. Future versions of microSD are being developed which will offer advanced encryption security to permit protected storage of personal, financial and medical information. When inserted into an available SD adapter, microSD converts into the SD card for interoperability with standard SD devices so consumers can exchange data between their microSD-equipped mobile phone and any SD compatible host, such as a digital camera, PDA or laptop PC. Brilliant Value
This seems to be about a third of the price that you pay in a high street retailer and it works perfectly. On my Samsung E900 it will store hundreds of 2 meg pictures, or more likely a combination of a couple of hundred mp3 tracks and images. Uploading pics or downloading tracks is really quick using the SD adapter which in my case slips straight into the built in slot in my PC - worth getting a USB card reader if you don't have this facility. This seems quicker than loading through the phones USB connection. Not much else to say really. It's tiny, amazing in its capacity and unbelievable value at this price. It is NICE WHEN THINGS JUST WORK isn't it! 5 stars and highly recommended.

Excellent for samsung D600
Excellent memory card. Good things come in good packages :D. lol. comes with SD adapter, which works great as well when you have a memory card reader or transfer through cable. Not exactly 1 gb (968mb) but still a brilliant memory card. Works on D600, E900 and N95 that i've tested on so far!.

Good Price + Good Item
As I have always started out saying firstly the price....so I am going to do the same over here. This is an excellent piece of item with an excellent price provided from Amazon. £[...]/- odd with some free delivery you hardly can get it anywhere cheaper than this...and that too for 1GB of memory.....
I have used it for my Motorola and Samsung phones and works fine for both of them. Very well from Sandisk who always make good products. I have stored around 240 songs and still have lots of memory in it...so I dont have to take around my mp3 player, as this is enough for me...and does 2 things in one go....
Good Price and Good Item - overall....keep up the good prices Amazon, and I am sure that there would be good and more customers like us, who would avoid paying silly prices on other high street retaliers for the same item charging around £[...]/
