This is truly a unique, informative and entertaining little book all about making walking sticks using Blackthorn - full of technical advice and tips (from plant identification to the finished product) to help you regardless of your level of expertise in this field. It's the kind of book you would be more likely to find tucked away on a shelf in a musty smelling second-hand bookshop - Truly delightful!
Chatty little book!
Chatty little book!! Welcomes you into the life of the author and quite unputdownable once you start to read it!! Lots of interesting little snippets from a chatterbox author who enjoys chattering about the old way of life. I enjoyed this book!! Havn't started to make any blackthorn walking sticks yet although when I read this book I always intend to get around to it one of these days if I can just get up the energy to go hoking in hedges for the blackthorns that is!!
