Product Description

In an era marked by specialisation and fragmentation, Gleitman's "Psychology" has always recognised that drawing connections to other disciplines, particularly the liberal arts and sciences, as well as to the field's historical dimensions, helps show students how and why psychology is relevant to the world around them. The seventh edition of "Psychology" continues this project, introducing a unified approach built around a new part structure, thought provoking questions and contemporary themes, providing students with the most coherent picture of the field.

Customer Reviews

Brilliant!5
This book is great for those of us who have never studied psychology before. It's easy to read, but still has all the information you need. Each chapter has a summary of all the main points, which is definitely worth reading through the night before a test!

This book also has the code to access the website, which is utterly fabulous. It's updated weekly with news articles on psychology (and a list of which articles deal with issues raised in chapter one, chapter two, etc), multiple choice tests on each chapter (handy practice!), crosswords to test your knowledge of new vocabulary and various animations of hard-to-visualize ideas.

Buy this book - you'll regret it if you don't!

A great book and a good read!5
To say that this is too simplistic is very unfair to both book and author. It is easy to understand and this is mostly due to how well written it is. Highly recommended!

OK3
Covers the basics but not in enough depth. I'm in my first year at Uni, and most of us tend to think that it's a bit too simplistic. It's easy read, but there are better books such as Richard Gross
