Customer Reviews

Brilliant!5
I went to see Mark's show earlier this week, for the third time in the last few years. I have laughed out loud and been moved to tears every time. After the show this week he signed my copy of this CD while stopping to chat about the state of things, plans for the future etc.
He is totally genuine, impassioned and really making a difference through sheer determination. This CD will give you a very good idea of what you'll get live - a marvellous combination of hard fact and uproarious humour, sustained with fantastic energy and commitment and it will make you laugh!!! Buy it and go and see his live show too!

Buy it, buy it, buy it.5
Wow. I laughed out loud for more than half of this CD. When Mark is describing hordes of peace protesters dressed as Star Wars characters being chased by police on quad bikes I was in stitches.
He combines scathing critiques of government and policies with amazingly witty self deprecating humour. But what really makes this CD is how he seamlessly intercuts this material with vivid and poignant descriptions of the horrors faced by people in the UK and the rest of the world.
Mark is one of those voices that doesn't just criticise and shout, he gets out there (with his 7 year old son), gets his hands dirty (and remortgages the house) and makes a difference.
The message that clearly comes across in this CD is get involved, get angry - change things.

Very funny presentation, very important material5
I don't know why, but my review of this CD keeps getting removed a few months after I post it, both on amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. As a result, I'm going to keep this short.

This CD is hysterically funny, but contains material that is very important and in places very sad. I have seen Mark on stage a couple of times and have probably listened to this CD five or six times since it first appeared. I listened again this week on my trains to and from work. I am sure I drove everybody around me nuts as I couldn't stop myself laughing out loud even on an otherwise miserable commuter train.

Anti-war, anti-violence, anti-stupid bureaucracy, anti-hypocrisy, the material is very poignant, very relevant even now, but presented with incredible humour. If you are sensitive to bad language possibly not for you, but everybody else should listen. Even better, listen yourself, then if you don't want to keep the CD afterwards post it to your MP for them to listen.
