McGill is back
I remember this series as a kid....it's very well presented with good quality imagery.
He's tough and stands no messing

My alltime fave tv series.......supercool McGill.......he gets beaten up.......he loses the girl.......yeah,he's REAL! That was his (Method) acting remit....."Keep It Real"......and he does! This is a million miles away from the world of jokey Simon Templar....who never got a scratch in a hundred half baked fights......McGill mumbles thru 30? episodes......cig in mouth.....unshaven....what a guy! A superb bargain box set (I paid £16!!)...razor sharp,digitally enhanced.....if you love 60s tv....then this is a MUST!

mixed bag
In spite of a great soundtrack, a brilliant title sequence and really good actors, man in a suitcase doesn't really work quite as well as other 60s shows. The sad truth is that it's not quality television in terms of writing. The screenplays were often rejects from other shows and they had not been rejected because they were particulyrly good. The other problem with that was also that the show never really developed its own style. However, some episodes are really very watchable.
