Corries - Bonnet Belt and Sword
I first heard this when I was a child. My father being a serious Corries fan for many years at that point. A few years later I saw them live myself in Glasgow's Theatre Royal. A very unique and memorable experience indeed. So now, re released digitised and sounding every bit as good... Memories just flooded back. My own kids looked at me in disbelief as I listened to the old school days chants of 'Katie Bairdie' and 'oor wee school'. The title of the album, taken from my favourite track on the CD, track 2 'Cam Ye O'er Frae France' - It struck a chord with me as a child with it's powerful vocal delivery. I never forgot it. Now in my 40th year, I finally have my own copy. Well worth the wait.Bonnet, Belt and Sword
