Timbers and waters
An interesting overview of Maritime Archaeology that is necessarily out of date, on occassion, due to its publication date.

It is, however, a very accessible book to read and relate, on a personal basis, to current practice and knowledge

I have enjoyed reading it during many lunchbreaks while working in an unrelated industry based in a riverside location
