Ideas broader than the usual range of "the 4th way"
This collection of disparate chapters includes many subjects that Ouspensky was interested in and already writing about before he met Gurdjieff, eg. magic, 'higher dimensions', eternal recurrence, sacred places, tarot... But this book was actually finally put together after he'd studied with G and entered 'the 4th way'. So the book is a fascinating mix. On the one hand it's "Pure Ouspensky" out from under the control of 'his master's hand', writing about anything he likes (and he is always very knowledgeable), but on the other, his thought here is usually enriched and tinged with a certain depth from G's influence.

A universe in itself!
This book deals with many of to-day's taboos, as they are the very motors at the back of the deviations and the disparation of the present society. In the quest for the true course of the creation, Ouspensky here keeps to a very stern rudder based on ancient knowledge and uncompromizing vision.
