Album Description
Merle Haggard had a very chequered life spending a lot of his
early years in and out of prison. However from the early 60s onwards he
never looked back having had a run of 37 consecutive top ten country hits,
23 of which were number one's.
In 1966 he was voted Best Male Singer by the Academy of Country Music
Awards
