Synopsis
Years before James Bond hit the screen, cult classic television show Danger Man set the standard for all the ultra-cool British spy series that followed. The show was first broadcast in 1960 and lasted for two years before returning in 1964 as an hour-long series renamed Secret Agent. Patrick McGoohan (The Prisoner, BRAVEHEART) starred as international man of mystery John Drake, a special NATO operative travelling the globe on top-secret espionage missions. Contains every episode of DANGER MAN.

A dream come true
I was 11 years old when my favourite TV programme went off the air. So this series is just what the doctor ordered. Perfect. Even with a pdf version of the 'Danger Man Annual' I was given one Christmas.
Just to say (as it is not at all obvious) that this is a rebox of all the 47 minute episodes (only). The short playing time shown above is completely incorrect. So if it is the 1964-66 episodes you are looking for, they are all here, and at a very reasonable price.
Fabulous box set of a classic sixties series.
Not quite as cult as "The Prisoner", but this is one series which left an indelible impression on me as a six year-old. It was a regular Sunday afternoon television fixture at my grandmother's house. And my brother used to collect a set of cards which came with some chewing gum. Even those were something to rave about. (Okay....we're talking about the mid sixties!)
Patrick McGoohan is excellent as superspy John Drake, in a role which made him a very big sixties television star. Although often of the cold war variety, the storylines have aged extremely well. They really were surprisingly gritty, and much tenser than contemporary series. Check out the very sinister "Colony Three" and "Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove" episodes, for example, with their almost "Prisoner"-esque overtones. What would circa 1964/1965 television audiences have made of them?
This box set contains all forty-seven episodes of fifty minutes, plus the feature-length version of the "Koroshi" episode. There's also a welter of reasonably interesting bonus material. All i can say is : "BUY NOW!".
PS. This box set just keeps getting better and better. Later episodes feature some unusual and really memorable storylines. There are numerous familiar faces and many luscious female guest stars. Much of the direction is from the ubiquitous Don Chaffey and Peter ("Bullitt") Yates. Tremendous stuff.
Fabulous Series But.....
The sound Quality is poor...most dissapointing as the Series is one of the all time greats of TV.
